Victoria Care Centre provides specialist, around-the-clock care for elderly nursing needs, dementia care, as well as young adults with long-term neurological conditions, such as traumatic brain injury, stroke and multiple sclerosis.
We recognise that it can be challenging to move into a nursing home. Our aim is not just to care for your condition but to care for you as a person. We will work with you to ensure you get the support you need and to give you the best possible quality of life.
We house 115 en-suite bedrooms with large, spacious and varied communal social areas. When you first move in, our staff will support you to help you settle in and adapt to your new home. We offer a range of social activities to help you meet people and feel at ease. We also provide a wide range of therapeutic and leisure activities to support your recovery, wherever possible, and to help you to manage your symptoms and live a full and active life.
Our Values
Providing Person Centred Care is at the heart of everything we do at Victoria Care Centre. We devise carefully tailored Care Plans through communication with residents, carers, relatives and other healthcare professionals to ensure we meet their nursing, social, physical, psychological and environmental needs. This is regularly reviewed as the needs of the resident changes over time. Through the care plans, we aim to promote & optimise an individual’s skills and independence whilst providing a safe environment where a resident can express choice, opinion, personality & individuality.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is to support an individual by encouraging them to achieve their specific identified goals. We provide person-centred care, which means it is entirely tailored to you. We work in partnership with our multi-disciplinary team in setting individual targets for each of our resident. We achieve these targets by working within a safe, comfortable and dignified homely environment which supports risk taking and right to choose. We welcome family & friends to support residents in their progress within the programme.
